Make your status page for select audience

If you need to group teammates and give them access to a subset of your components, Select Audience is for you!

How to make your status page Select Audience?

  1. Login to your status page at instatus.com/login then choose your status page.

You'll need to have a Select Audience or Business plan in order to be able to make your status page for select audience.

If you already have a Select Audience or Business plan you may skip the first step.

  1. Go to Upgrade and switch to Business plan.

  1. After upgrading go to Settings → Page Type.
  2. Select 'Select Audience' from 'Page Type' panel and save.

  1. This unlocks Privacy Setting, where you can choose one of these options:
    • Email login will only allow members of your team to access the status page using their email addresses.
    • Google SSO will only allow members of your team to access the status page using Google SSO.
    • Allowed IP addresses will only allow certain IPs to access the page and you'll be able to add Allowed IP addresses.
    • Single Password will only allow members of your team to access the status page using a single password shared between them.
    • Secure link: Create an authenticated link that you can share with clients. You can get always regenerate it using our API or the dashboard.
    • SAML SSO will only allow members of your team to access the status page using SAML SSO (only available to Business plan)

If you choose multiple options, only one of them will be needed to access the status page.

  1. Choose how you want to make your status page private and click 'Save', it may take a couple of minutes for changes to take effect.

  1. Now that the page is Select Audience, a new Audience tab is unlocked and you can use it to create audience groups to control which teammates get to see which components.
